NFL.com Predict the Pick

Posted by Joel under: NFL; NFL.com .

NFL.com launched Predict the Pick ‘08 NFL Draft fantasy game today. It’s a user-friendly drag & drop game that allows fans to predict all first round picks in this years Draft and submit for a chance to win the grand prize trip to the ‘09 NFL Draft and 20 other NFL Shop gift cards.

My only recommended tweak is to give a visual indication the user matched a players name with a team on the virtual Draft Card. Maybe the team and the players name changes to the color red so it’s completely clear you’ve matched player A with team 1. Other than that, the clean and simple design of the game is a recipe for success.

They game is powered by Sports Technologies, Inc., the tech company who is behind the sports social site FanNation.com, founded by former ESPN.com employees and purchased last year by Sports Illustrated’s website, SI.com.

Making your Picks

The object is to select, in order from first pick to last pick, the 31 (out of 48) pre-identified prospective NFL players (as determined by Sponsor) who will be picked in first round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

To make your selections, follow the instructions provided on the Fantasy Game page to fill and submit your Draft Card with the 31 prospects in order of first pick to last pick and also place your guess, in the space indicated, as to how long (in hours and minutes) the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft will take from start to finish, with the start being the naming of the first selection and the finish being the naming of the last selection. The length of the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft will be announced by a representative of the Sponsor at the Draft.
